Italian Heritage Month Celebrations

Italian Heritage Month Celebrations

In celebration of the Italian  Heritage Month, Italian teachers Dr. Bibeau, Ms. Chalifoux and Ms. Canetta gathered with their Italian classes  on Monday October 28th 2024.

Students had the opportunity to meet Alumni Zoe Salvato-Cutter, MHS class of 2019, who recounted her experience learning Italian at MHS, and then continuing her studies at Tufts University.

After graduating from Tufts in May 2023, Zoe had the opportunity to live in Italy for a year, and teach English to middle schoolers in an Italian school near Lecco, on Lake Como, in Northern Italy.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to hear such amazing adventures when one follows their passion for the language!

Thank you to our dedicated World Language staff for fostering the love of languages, and encouraging our students to explore talents and passions they may have not considered before.

Also, thank you to Zoe Savato-Cutter, for taking their time to come back to inspire the next generation of language learners; this was an example of an important full-circle moment.

Grazie a tutti!  Viva l'Italia!
